Uh... Yum! The place doesn't look like much, but it's what's inside that counts. If you like smoked meats, come here, it's worth the drive. The young man manning the counter was very nice and helpful. He recommended the SmackJaw for the wings and I was Not disappointed (Move over Frank's Red Hot Granny because this sauce Is *actually* good on everything) and the BamaBoi on the side for the ribs (also good) as they are the 2 sauces made in house. Both the ribs and wings had beautiful smoke rings and flavors that they didn't need any sauce. I don't regret the sauce though because I dipped my onion rings (okay) and jalapeno hush puppies (good) in the sauce and it was great. The owner (and the man behind the magic) came out front for a second and chatted with me for a sec., it was very nice. I will definitely come here again.
First time trying RD’s while visiting family in Harvest. I ordered the pulled chicken loaded baked potato. so delicious! It did not disappoint. Did I mention it was enormous! If you’re in the area give them a try! my husband likes the rib and wings also!
I'm new to the area, this place was highly recommended. So I decided to give it a try after reading several reviews. I'm glad I did! It's a quaint small spot, upon entering, the cashier was very warm & welcoming. She answered all my questions about the menu. I didn't feel rushes at all. The ribs, wings and loaded fries were fresh & delicious. I have enough leftovers to eat tomorrow as well. The place was clean & the smell of food was very inviting! If you like food freshly prepared, filling & worth your money I suggest giving this place a try at least once!
This was our first time trying this location, but we will definitely be back. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the food was so delicious! Some of the best wings I’ve ever had, and I could eat my weight in hush puppies! Everyone fully enjoyed their meals. I thought the ranch and tarter was just a tad tangy for my liking, but they were still good. Looking forward to our next visit!
What a great find! The BBQ pulled pork and pulled chicken were delicious. I can't wait to go back on brisket day. Mac and cheese is also a treat. There was a very nice and friendly lady at the counter taking orders. She had a great smile and provided excellent service. We loved the self-serve Ice-tea and lemonade with free refills. We look forward to going back again soon. Oh ... And the choice of sauces. Goodness! You have to try the "smack mouth" sauce.
Hole in the wall BBQ pit off Nick Davis and Old Railroad, serving up some of the best dang ribs in the Huntsville area. We've been working our way through local BBQ joints since moving here, 3 years ago, and can confidently say RDs got the best ribs and sauces in the Huntsville metro area. Everything here is good and service is top notch. We liked it so much we came back the next week and bought a bottle of their BamaBoy sauce. This place is a hidden gem, and worth a visit.
The staff is friendly, the food is amazing! I have had the pulled pork wings and now the Brisket! The price is very reasonable, nice sized portions. If you are looking for great Barbecue in the area you should definitely try it!
This place is special. Best BBQ, smoked meats, and wings I’ve found in Madison County — all in one special little restaurant tucked away in a quiet part of town. I’ve become a bit of a regular, and the owners are just the kindest people. The quality has not decreased at all with the opening of their second location. This place is the real deal! If you haven’t had RDs, you haven’t experienced the best of Huntsville/Madison County!
